Student and Early Career Scientist Mentor Lunch

Who/What/Why - All conference participants are welcome to participate in this lunchtime event that will link Student and Early Career** (EC) scientists with working professionals from the Delta science community (mentors) in an informal setting to exchange ideas and insights about career development, research interests and much more. This event will be structured around broad career and science themes that will allow students, EC scientists, and mentors to self-select an area of interest or expertise. The rest will be easy – find a seat and start the interaction with colleagues, peers and mentors!

Delta Science Program Lead Scientist Peter Goodwin will provide some opening remarks to kick things off and it’s certain everyone will emerge from lunch energized and enriched!

**Early Career is considered anyone less than 5 years from their terminal academic degree.

Where/When – This event will be held from 12:25-1:25 the first day of the conference (Tuesday October 28) in conference room 315. Please note you will need to pick up lunch (downstairs in Exhibit Hall B) before we convene in room 315.
